Hurricane Season Information - Campers

We will closely monitor any approaching storms and keep our guests informed as soon as we receive any information from the St. Johns County Emergency Operations Center.

For everyone’s safety, we adhere to the following steps as hurricanes approach our area:

  1. As storms approach we will request all our guests to stow away any loose items outside their campers as well as retract any awnings.

  2. If any evacuations are ordered in St. Johns County, anyone that resides in a RV, boat, or mobile home are included. This means that neither you or your camper may remain on your site during this time. We encourage you to evacuate to an area that is not being impacted by the storm or bring your RV to a hurricane shelter and stay at the shelter until the evacuation order has been lifted. We will have a list of these shelters in our office.

  3. We will also inform everyone what day and time we must vacate the campground. We lock the entrance of the campground until the evacuation order has been lifted, so please update us on your evacuation plan if/when the time comes.

  4. Please call us prior to your return to the park so we can be certain our electricity is safe and stable and that we have cleared roads and sites of any major debris from the storm.

Safety is our priority and we hope we have an uneventful hurricane season. However, please consider making a hurricane plan now. That way, if a storm impacts us, you’ll be prepared. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.
